Cycling & inline skating

The new Bevlava cycle path runs along the valley towards the Slovak border — flat and family-friendly. Mountain bikers will find their match on the Javorníky ridges.

The new Bevlava cycle path links the Senice valley with the Vlára pass and continues on into Slovakia. It runs flat along the railway, away from road traffic — ideal for families with children, inline skaters, and easy-going rides.

Fitter cyclists can take on the surrounding hills: mountain bike routes climb to the Javorníky ridges, or you can plan a loop through the Slovak side of the border. In the evening you roll off the hills straight back to the apartment terrace.

You join the path in the village itself, a few minutes from the apartment — no need to drive the bikes anywhere. The surface is smooth asphalt, the gradient almost nothing, and road traffic never touches it, making it one of the few routes around here where you can let children ride ahead without worrying.

Families usually manage a relaxed run down the valley and back in a morning. Stronger riders carry on towards the Vlára pass and the Slovak side, or swap the flat for a mountain bike and climb into the Javorníky ridges.

Skaters will appreciate that the asphalt is continuous and free of sharp joins. The season runs roughly from spring to late autumn; after rain, expect shaded stretches to take a while to dry. There's somewhere secure to store bikes at the apartment.
